I attended an event hosted by American Sod Farms that focused on sod growing and the challenges sod farmers face in the turf industry. SiteOne Landscape Supply, which is one of our vendors, was also at the event, and they provided information about when lawns should be fertilized, the type of fertilizer that should be applied, information on weed control and insecticides, and more. SiteOne also provided a Turf Maintenance Calendar to share with our customers that is tailored to San Diego’s climate. For those who like to keep their lawns green and healthy, this may be a useful tool.
It is recommended homeowners perform a soil test, which will tell them exactly what nutrients their lawn is lacking. Remember to consult with your landscape maintenance provider before applying any fertilizers or pesticides to your lawn.
